What a damn day!

I was having such a good week and then what happens? Todd was sick for the past few days because he swallowed a bit of a plastic bag (he's fine today though). While I was comforting him, I failed to realize that my cell phone fell out of my pocket and into his bowl of water. I have no idea how long it's been in there, but it's officially kaputt now. Then, this morning, after Joe dropped me off at school, he got into an accident. At least it wasn't his fault this time. :/ I need some good karma right now!! lol.

In a serious effort to become more organized next semester, I am going to scan every single page of notes and save them to .pdf files. That way, if something happens to them, I can find them easily by just printing them out. I guess that's my new semester resolution.

Also, I am not taking any summer classes this year. The way I see it, I am not going to come off of extra money when I am just going to be left with b/s classes in the spring. I can finally get some rest! Not really. I'll probably be trying to get ahead on Chemistry II and Microbiology (if I can get that override). We'll see.

It's bedtime now, folks. Night!

Happy Easter, everyone!

I am so happy that I have this Easter off. I don't have anything in particular planned, but I worked the last three Sundays in a row (Sundays are my only day off since I'm in school). I am thinking about taking Todd to the park today -- I haven't taken him yet since I got him.

Maybe I will go get my eyebrows waxed today. Hmmm...I have my English research paper to work on, the second room to thoroughly clean so I can get back to my business, and the kitchen to clean. I haven't really had time to unpack yet. I have so much stuff to put away. :( I also have a bit of gardening to do today - just a little trimming here and there and maybe some transplanting. The highlight of my day. lol. Maybe I'll take some pictures and post them when I'm finished.

Oh well. I have to get in the tub so I can get my day started. It's already late.

Well, I decided to start a garden this summer! I think I kind of took on more than I could handle, though. I don't expect every plant to produce. Right now I am growing cherry tomatoes (three are going to be red soon!), Creole tomatoes (a few are coming in now), zucchini, red bell pepper, jalapeno peppers (one pepper is almost finished growing), okra, spearmint, Hungarian yellow pepper, cayenne pepper (maybe--I bought a pepper mix seed packet and this was one of the possibilities), sage, thyme, rosemary, pineapple sage, oregano and basil. Whew! I have the herbs growing in small pots and hanging on the porch right now. I love it!

In other news, school is almost out for the semester! I can't believe this year has gone by so fast. I have one more test for Chemistry on Tuesday (which I need to study like mad for). I think we have one more Calculus test left too. I don't have a final for English because the research paper we are doing will count enough for that. Of course, once grades are posted, I will post them here. :)

I am still on the fence about whether I am going to UNO next semester, since I have a few classes left to take at Delgado. However, I do know that I will be taking Engineering Economics over the summer. If I do go to Delgado in the fall, my schedule will be:

8:00-9:15 : Physical Geology
11:00-12:15 : Elementary French I
12:30-1:45 : Structure of Western Thought: Ancient Greece (Honors) *
2:00-3:15 : Art History I *
5:30-6:45 : British Literature I (Honors) *

* Classes I need at UNO. The other two are two I figure will at least help me out with my major, or maybe even just for personal enrichment. :)

Update is due, right?

School is still going beautifully so far. All A-averages except my arch nemesis, Calculus. Always a B. :/ At least my test averages are higher than they were last semester.

Tomorrow I have an interview for a scholarship to attend a globalization seminar in Salzburg, Austria. I applied for it at the end of March and made it through the first of two rounds. I am really nervous about, but I definitely have my fingers crossed. In my mind, it's a shot in the dark, but it's something I care deeply about. I've never really left the country before except twice when I just crossed the border into Canada, but that was before you needed a passport to cross the border. I guess we will see!
